AI Car Insurance - Quantify Consumer Expectations on Data Ethics
Respondents are presented with two hypothetical car insurance products that use AI to track and monitor driver behaviour and usage in real time. Premium discounts are provided to drivers exhibiting desired practices. Study respondents are asked to rank product features (containing defined ethical priorities) based on their relative importance to purchase intention.
This study was completed in 2023. All responses were collected online, screened for US Car Owners . The sample size was based on 268 qualified responses. Balanced sampling was used on Gender and Age, based on the US Census. Respondents were representative of all regions throughout the USA.
Demographic analysis is based on responses relating to the respondent’s age, gender, income, education and a self assessment of how ‘Tech Savvy’ they consider themselves to be.
